As of the date of this newsletter article, Taylor County is fortunate to not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19. However, business can help play an active role in reducing the risk of exposure to its employees by taking several actions as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Businesses and employers can prevent and slow the spread of COVID-19. Employers should plan to respond in a flexible way to varying levels of disease transmission in the community and be prepared to refine their business response plans as needed.

Businesses are strongly encouraged to coordinate with state and local health officials so timely and accurate information can guide appropriate responses. Local conditions will influence the decisions that public health officials make regarding community-level strategies.

Guidelines for steps businesses can take to help slow the spread of the virus can be found at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/guidance-business-response.html.
